About Hannah Davis

Hi! I'm Hannah.

A Black and White, mixed-race, multiracial, body-focused clinician and yoga teacher specializing in mind-body healing. I'm so happy you're here!

Growing up I was the kid who had to be the best. I was striving for perfection at everything I did. It left me anxious and depressed. After years of pushing forward, everything came crashing down. I was exhausted, stressed, unemployed and heartbroken. I began self-medicating, going to therapy, taking meds and looking for happiness in all the wrong places. I was in a fog trying to escape my reality. I found my way into a yoga class and my world changed.

“After leaving my yoga mat the first time, I felt light and had a sense of clarity I'd never experienced. I was hooked! Yoga saved my life!“

Yoga challenges me physically, mentally and emotionally, on and off the mat. On my mat I learned to be present, take up space and to be still. My self-medicating became downward facing dog, tree pose and headstands. Yoga became my entry into the world of mind-body-spirit connection.

I received my 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Sky House in 2017 and completed Advanced Mind-Body Medicine Training through the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in 2019. I’m a licensed social worker and an ICF-Trained clinical coach. I love helping folks get out of their own way to discover their authentic self.

Realizing that we all have our own story, it's important to offer yoga, healing and discovery in a safe, nurturing and accessible way. I have completed specialized trauma-informed trainings, including Street Yoga's Trauma-Informed Yoga for Youth, Diana Tokaji's Surviving Assault: Yoga Essentials as Early Intervention Following Assault or Trauma and Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model (TREM). I am the Founder & Executive Director of Vikara Village®, a local nonprofit offering mind-body discovery to individuals experiencing trauma and toxic stress.

My mission is to give you the tools to maintain your mental, physical, and spiritual equilibrium; and help you feel the transformation that happens when your mind and body are connected. I enjoy incorporating mind-body practices with a humanistic, systems-based approach into our work. Whether you are just starting your mind-body-spirit journey or you're an advanced yogi ready to dive deeper, I am here to help. Get ready to explore the mind-body-spirit connection!
