Holistic simply means looking at the whole person. We pay careful attention to the mind-body-spirit connection and how each part of you works together. Your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being all contribute to your whole self.
This client-focused or (YOU-focused) approach helps empower you to take-charge of your overall well-being. As a social worker, I believe you have the ability and knowledge to make your own choices and decisions. This is usually referred to as self-determination.
You know what’s best for you!
Sometimes, we just need an objective person to help us navigate and organize our thoughts and feelings. In our work together I like to focus on the here and now, while also honoring your past and current experiences. Together we work to help remove barriers for achieving equilibrium in your mind, body and heart.
In promoting a holistic approach to therapy, I encourage you to:
- Actively engage in your healing process
- Find some freedom from the stress and anxiety you may experience in your life, work and relationships
- Balance and integrate the whole you
- Give yourself permission to have calm amidst the chaos
